Michael Walden is a business executive with over 20 years of experience in establishing, operating and growing businesses in a variety of industries. He has demonstrated experience in successfully leading operations, business development, corporate development, fundraising and acquisitions within various organizations. This includes operating positions in venture-funded growth companies in the technology and telecommunications sectors. Beyond his leadership at Rethink Impact, Michael was a founding partner of Rethink Education, an education technology fund. Michael’s non-profit affiliations include participation in the mentoring program for YearUp and serving as Chairman of Practice Makes Perfect.
Michael served as Managing Director of Potomac Media Partners, a corporate development advisory services firm. Prior to Potomac Media Partners, Michael served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at InPhonic, Inc., where he was responsible for strategic partnerships, financings, business development and M&A activities. During his tenure, InPhonic went from a venture financed start-up to a public offering in November 2004. Michael’s experience also includes serving in various operating positions in venture-funded growth companies in the technology and telecommunications sectors. Michael started his career serving on the legislative staff of U.S. Senator Arlen Specter in Washington, D.C. Michael is a graduate of the University of Richmond with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration.
